NYU International Hospitality Industry Investment Conference becomes part of IHIF portfolio of hospitality investment conferences

Questex has acquired and assumed management control of the NYU International Hospitality Industry Investment Conference from the NYU School of Professional Studies (NYU SPS) starting with the 2024 edition. The value of the transaction was not disclosed. 

The conference joins Questex’s portfolio of hospitality events, including the International Hospitality Investment Forum (IHIF), which is currently taking place in Berlin.

The Questex Hospitality portfolio is led by Alexi Khajavi, group president hospitality, wellness and travel. The NYU International Hospitality Industry Investment Conference will become part of the Operational Real Estate division.

“Hospitality is a global industry and global investors are looking for cross-border investment opportunities, acquiring and partnering with the NYU International Hospitality Industry Investment Conference from the NYU School of Professional Studies (NYU SPS) further solidifies Questex as the global platform to inform and connect hospitality investors, operators and advisors,” said Khajavi.

For NYU, the proceeds from the agreement will help fund student scholarships at the NYU SPS Jonathan M. Tisch Center of Hospitality.

The 45th edition of the NYU International Hospitality Industry Investment Conference, will take place between June 4-6, 2023, at the New York Marriott Marquis.

The global hospitality industry is a $4.8 trillion market and is expected to grow by over 10 per cent annually to reach $6.8 trillion by 2026.
