Domes Resorts to buy Casa Collective from Goldman Sachs

Domes Resorts has entered an agreement with Goldman Sachs to buy Casa Collective, the hospitality platform behind the Cook’s Club and Casa Cook brands.

Hospitality entrepreneur Remo Masala will become a shareholder too, acting as a strategic partner and creative lead in the platform.

Casa Collective currently operates a portfolio of 13 hotels across key destinations, providing a strong foundation for further international expansion.

As a result of the transaction, four additional properties are expected to join the portfolio, alongside a broader set of prospective projects currently under review.

The new ownership is intended to support the continued expansion of the platform through franchise, management, and strategic development collaborations across leisure destinations and gateway cities worldwide.

In parallel, the group will explore the incorporation of strategic partners to support growth through a targeted property acquisition strategy.

Casa Collective will continue to operate as an independent hospitality company.

Last year Domes partnered with Brookfield in the Domes Zeen Chania. Together the pair are expected to invest more than €40 million to expand the resort.

Hospitality entrepreneur Remo Masala, founder of the Berlin-based tourism innovation and brand studio Vision Alphabet, was instrumental in developing Cook’s Club and Casa Cook and will remain actively involved in the platform as a shareholder and creative partner. He has also developed XIA, which joins the portfolio as its third core brand.

What they said

“Our ambition is to provide hotel owners and partners with a strong and reliable platform for growth while ensuring that each brand retains its unique character and guest experience.” said Dr. George P. Spanos MD, MSc, PhD, CEO of Domes Resorts.

Remo Masala: “Casa Collective was never conceived as a single brand, but as a framework for different  ways of experiencing hospitality. As we grow, our focus is on strengthening the clarity of each concept and further developing the idea that connects them.”
