Radisson continues Romanian expansion with four hotels

Radisson Hotel Group has revealed plans to expand in Romania, with a series of new developments.

In Bucharest, the hotel company will add the Radisson Lagoon Hotel Bucharest and Radisson RED Bucharest Old Town.

The Radisson RED Bucharest Old Town project will see a 1940s office building transformed into a 104-key hotel scheduled to open in 2027. The property will comprise a restaurant and bar, a lobby incorporating a co-working lounge and an outdoor terrace and meeting spaces including a multipurpose room and a pop-up venue on the fifth floor.

Located within Bucharest’s Central District Lagoon City, Radisson Lagoon Hotel Bucharest will feature 323 rooms, spa, an exclusive sandy beach, a wellness centre and multiple swimming pools.

Radisson also plans to add Radisson Blu Grand Mountain Resort, Brasov in the Carpathian Mountains, a luxury hotel geared to cater for nature enthusiasts, offering a range of outdoor activities including hiking, skiing and mountain biking.

The following year, Radisson Blu Resort & Residences, Mamaia will join the Romanian portfolio. Located on the Black Sea coast, the asset will feature 234 hotel rooms, 102 branded residences. a lobby bar and restaurant, an outdoor pool bar, a spa and fitness centre, a grand ballroom and meeting spaces.
