Wyndham has entered into a ten-year development relationship with residential hospitality management company Reside to expand its upscale extended stay offering in the US.
The franchise agreements will introduce five residence-style hotels to the Wyndham brand, marking the debut of Wyndham Residence in the US, with the properties to cater to guests seeking long-term stays and short-term home base accommodation.
The partnership adds two open hotels in Seattle and Houston to Wyndham’s portfolio – 55-room Reside Seattle Downtown and 79-room Reside Houston Downtown. Locations in the pipeline currently include a 22-room hotel in New Orleans' Bywater neighbourhood and two properties in Washington DC, with 81 and 67 rooms respectively.
This collaboration builds on Wyndham's portfolio in the extended stay segment, complementing its existing brands - ECHO Suites Extended Stay by Wyndham, Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham and WaterWalk Extended Stay by Wyndham. The company entered the upscale extended stay market earlier this year through a brand partnership with WaterWalk.
