IHG Hotels & Resorts and Salter Brothers have signed a long-term agreement to rebrand and reposition multiple hotel assets in Australia.
Under the agreement, several IHG hotels will be rebranded and repositioned within the company’s portfolio of luxury brands including the InterContinental in Melbourne which will become a Regent Hotel by 2030, the Crowne Plaza Sydney Coogee Beach which will become InterContinental Sydney Coogee Beach and the Crowne Plaza Melbourne which will become InterContinental Melbourne.
Additionally, the Crowne Plaza Canberra will undergo a site redevelopment to create a new precinct for InterContinental Canberra and Hotel Indigo Canberra, and Hotel Indigo Canberra will bring a boutique lifestyle brand to the Canberra market. voco Gold Coast will also undergo a refurbishment and an expansion of its leisure facilities.
This news comes as Australian Salter Brothers continues to work towards listing the company on Australia’s ASX stock exchange.
